We owe many thanks to the riders who fundraised for the event, the sponsors who were incredibly generous, the Teams who competed for a trophy, and the volunteers who helped make the event happen – thank you, thank you, thank you! You are the essence of the Steeple Chase – riding your bikes, walking 5 miles, donating and raising money, staffing registration, giving out T-shirts, water bottles & maps, serving food, parking cars, staffing the rest stops, creating & marking routes, driving sag wagons, playing music and the wonderful massage therapists who soothe aching muscles.
Winston Churchill said, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” That’s a good description of all of you and the backbone of the 3 organizations that the Steeple Chase supports. Perception Programs, Windham Area Interfaith Ministry and Windham No Freeze Project. We help the neediest in our communities. The money allows us to provide services to people who ask for our help.
This year we added comment cards. If you didn’t get a chance to fill one out or have more comments, you can submit through our post ride survey www.steeplechasebiketour.org/survey
Our heartfelt thanks for your support. We hope to see you again next year!
